The summer has been fast and furious. Concerts at the Waterloo Bucks Stadium went well. Many bands got an opportunity to play at the ball park, and show their stuff to thousands of baseball fans. We had the pleasure of supplying the sound for the bands. For the most part, the weather cooperated. It was hot, hot, hot, for many of the games, and we set up in the rain for a few more, but this is summer in Iowa, after all. All things considered, it was a successful summer series.

We learned a lot this summer about what works, and what does not work at the ball park, and perhaps we can do another Summer Concert Series next year. If you would like to be considered for a slot in the series next year (sorry, bands only) let me know so we can come out and check you out sometime. With the experience gained this past summer, we should be able to really rock the stadium next year!

Also in the news, we are currently working on an on-line store. You will be able to access rental equipment available, info on equipment, purchase on line, etc. I will let you know more, as the site progresses. It will be exciting, or it won’t be.

We have once again started to offer re-coning service for speakers. The need has been great for re-coning in the area, and we had offered it in the past, and decided that it was time to get back into the speaker repair business. It will take a little time to get it off the ground, but we are accepting speakers for re-cone right now. In the future, I will be able to get them done quicker, but for now, we will move on it as quickly as possible, to offer you the best service that you will find anywhere, for any price.

We are currently also working on a point and click directory of performers. People often ask me if I will DJ for an event, and I have to tell them that I do not DJ, but I can help them find one if they would like. This service will offer Bands, Djs, Comedians, Magicians, or nearly any other performer, to have a presence in the community without agency fees. If you would like to be included, Please let me know. We just finished the National Cattle Congress Fair. It was a great show. You may have read in the paper how attendance was down, but believe me, it was a show that you should not have missed. High quality entertainment all over the fair grounds, all for the price of admission. It was the best bang for the entertainment buck that I have seen in a long, long time. It was far and away better than the NCC has offered in many years. It was a show that I was proud to be a part of.

And last, but not least, Kudos to James Heimbuck for all of the help this summer. I could not have juggled all of it without James. One of the best sound mixers, and effects people I know.
